About Tamarind Concentrate

MAGMA's Tamarind Concentrate in paste form is extracted from fresh tamarind fruit which grows abundantly in Southern and Eastern parts of India. New crop is used to ensure freshness, flavour, natural colour and long shelf life of the product. No filler, artificial preservative or additive is used, making it 100% pure, safe and natural, relying entirely on tamarind’s own preservative characteristics (Natural Tartaric Acid).

General information on Tamarind

Tamarind trees are grown in abundant in the wild in the state of Odisha. The extract of the fruit which is tangy with a sweet and sour note and is extensively used in various cuisines, sauces and juices. The harvest season is between February to May.

The Fruit: The fruit is shaken off the tree with long sticks and collected. The fruits are de-shelled and the pulp is packed in HDPE (Food Grade) plastic bags and sent to factory for processing.
